Topfen-Poppyseed Cake


flan case:

60g butter

100g sugar

1 egg

250g flour

1 tsp baking powder

mix everything to a loaf


filling (poppyseed):

douse 75g raisins (wash them first) with 2 tablespoons of rum

250g poppyseed

125 g sugar

lemon peel

ground cinnamon

50g butter

1/4l milk

heat up the milk, scald the poppyseed, mix everything together and let it soak


icing:

500g Topfen or more commonly named Quark. A soft creamy  version of curd

4 egg yolk

100g sugar

mix everything

beat 4 egg white with a pinch of salt


Put the flan case into a cake pan and put it at the bottom and the side of the pan. fill in the poppyseed mix, bake  for 10 min at 355 degree. add the Topfen icing mix  and bake for 50-60 min at 355 degree.
